College Wishlist #1

Finally starting back college. Summer ( or lack of ) lasted far too long in my opinion and I'm looking forward to getting back into a routine and actually doing something.

One thing I really look forward to at the start of every college year is going shopping with my mum and getting a few bits n bobs. When I'm in college I do like to be comfy but at the same time keep it trendy and fashionable. Versatility is the main thing I think of when going college shopping. Your in there 5 days a week so its best to have clothes you can mix and match and rewear without feeling like your wearing the same things.

Here are a few things I have on my college wishlist at the mo.

Update

Well it certainly has been awhile since I've crossed these paths. Been a bit absent from my blog and I actually feel bad even though really I shouldn't. A blog is for yourself and it shouldn't be a case of feeling a need to do it all the time, then it turns into a chore and takes the fun out of it. But I really have missed posting up on here and I've had that awful niggling feeling in the corner of my mind telling me I should do something.

I actually broke my wrist two weeks ago and that has been my main reasoning for not doing ANYTHING productive, and I have to admit I've found myself in a rut of some sort and not the best state of mind. I conveniently broke my right wrist so learning to do basic tasks with my left hand has been a task in itself e.g. make up, clothes, even typing!
I got myself into a state of mind that I couldn't do anything and was getting rather frustrated and annoyed with myself. I felt like clothes looked bleh with a big horrible cast (its purple) and have been residing to "comfy" clothes, back to back Come Dine with Me marathons, and my duvet.
Well since then I have realised there is zero point in having a pity party for one and I need to get off my bum and get back into the swing of things for once and for all.

I'm back to college next week and I've already organised the posts I want to do for the next week:) I got a whack of inspiration last night and boy am I thankful for that, got more done in a few hours then I did in two weeks! Love those bursts.

Oh! A recent OBSESSION of mine that I feel really needs a mentioning, Pretty Little Liars! I know I'm a tad late to jump on zee bandwagon but usually I don't watch an awful lot of television but seen as I can't drive and have been sitting at home more then usual I thought I'd give into the hype and indulge in it. My bestie is forever singing this show with praise but I just never got it, nevertheless my god! I completely get the ballyhoo about it now. I've just started Season 2 and love how your left clinging with suspense at the end of every episode. Everything about it is just clever and I feel bad not giving it a chance at the start. Also if I had been aware of the amount of sheer hotness in this show before I so would've been hooked earlier ( Ezra, Caleb, etc etc' ). Okay tirade over!

Tin man problems

So this is what I wore last night, went into town for drinks with the girls. I bought the hair band in the TopShop sale cause I thought it was pretty:) I kinda felt like a mix of Jesus, Lana Del Rey, and the Statue of Liberty with it on. It was a good time. My outfit was pretty and kind of festivally, throw on a pair of knee highs and wellys and you'd be good to go.

In other news, I've come to terms that I in fact wear far too much hi-lighter haha, I CAN'T STOP MYSELF D: Its like I look in the mirror and I'm fully aware I'm one step away from looking like the Tin man but I can't stop myself! Does anyone else suffer from this kind of addiction or am I on my own :( oh well. Below is some photo evidence.

Also the Dublin Fashion Festival is just around the corner! I worked at it last year and it was so much fun, the atmosphere in the city was amazing while it was going on and I'd recommend it to everyone who can to go along. Theres a programme on there website of all the different events taking place:)

ELLIES 11 QUESTIONS
Whats the most life changing skincare product you've discovered?
Most life changing skincare product I've discovered would probably be E45 cream. I suffer with mild psoriasis on my elbows and have slightly dry skin. So I put this on and its good as the new the very next day. Its also an excellent all over moisturiser.

Whats your dream job?
Hmm I've two:) I'd either want to work in the fashion industry as a buyer or doing some sort of marketing/PR work maybe. Orrr to work as a secondary school teacher. Bit of a difference.

Whats your worst habit?
My worst habit has to be biting my nails-_- I know its gross, and looks horrible but its a nervous habit and I've done it since I was like 7. I've tried to stop soo many times, any tips on how to do so you know where to put em;)

 Your favorite store and why?
I have a few, it'd be a toss up of H&M, Top shop, New look and Penneys probably. And just because there on trend and affordable really.

Whats your favorite TV show and why?
My favorite TV show of all time would have to be Buffy. I was such a Buffy geek as a kid, and still secretly am shhh. My favorite recent shows would be Big Bang Theory, How I met your mother, and E news. I like watching Pretty Little Liars the odd time but never got proper into it.

Whats the worst movie you've ever seen?
Worst movie I've ever seen would probably be Catch me if you can, and only because I remember hating it at the time if I watched it again I probably wouldn't mind it but I doubt I will haha. Soz Leo.

Favorite Nail Polish?
As I said I'm a biter:/ So nail polish isn't exactly a thang for me. I usually just buy french manicure style falsies. If I buy polish its usually H&M ones, and I favor corally and light blue colors.

If you could have one beauty item for free what would it be and why?
Hmmmm...can I say a life time supply of Sally Hansen? I go threw this like I don't know what and its 10euro a can so I'm forever buying it.

Favorite overall make up brand and why?
I love MAC, but my fave brand overall would be Benefit. I've loved pretty much all the products I've bought from them. Also I love the packaging and any of there products looks just divine displayed on my beauty table.

Least favorite brand and why?
Hmm this is a toughie. I've never really had a bad overall experience with a "brand" more so the odd product that didn't work for me. I feel bad dissing a brand but the few ELF products I have tried haven't really been upto scratch and just a bit bleh so my answer would be ELF.

All time favorite blog and youtube channel?
Favorite blog would probably be LLYMLRS, because I love how she puts looks together and updates regularly. It's good how she does recycle and wear items more then once so its always interesting seeing the different combinations. My favorite YT channel would be Sammi's from Beauty Crush, I just think shes really easy to watch and you can relate to her. She just seems like a cool gal, with an amazing sense of style obv:)

My new baby

Picked up this beaut earlier today, it was indeed love at first sight. Its like a mix of the Zara bowling bag and the Alexander Wang studded bottom bag. I lav it! I bought it in H&M and it was 40 euro which is a bit of a higher price point for H&M but c'mon just look at the bag, totes worth it. H&M are seriously upping there game lately in the shoe and accessory department. Saw my next purchase already;)

This bag is going to be one of those that I will not be parting with until it literally falls apart. Its big enough so I'll be able to carry all the unnecessary bits and bobs I trawl around on a day to day basis:)Thinking of doing a whats in my bag featuring  my new baby soon, a whats not in my bag would be more appropriate as I seem to just grab EVERYTHING I can see in my room just in case. I'll probably carry it using the little straps on the middle of my arm but it also has a longer strap if you wanted to hang it of your shoulder.

Going to be a posting an OOTD later on also so you'll get to see the bag in action. I'm just heading out now with friends to see the Katy Perry movie. Can't wait:D

Work...and play;)

Quick OOTD, heading to work then straight out with the girls. Put this simple white vest and skinnys combo together, as you can see I'm kinda feeling the neon trend. Got this statement necklace in H&M yesterday and I love it, so summery! It makes up for the fact we have had a serious lack of summer this year in Ireland, so depressing.

Paired this look with simple gold sandals for work, comfort factor:) and a plain brown shoulder bag. Then have my trusty nude heels and a simple white clutch to throw on so I'm ready to head out. Heres my 2 looks:)

 Day time:)

Night time

This outfit is one where I let the accessories do all the talking and it shows that simple little pieces can really make an outfit. Hope you like it:) Comment below and let me know what you think!

All work and no play

2 posts in one day:O * pat on the back * haha. So just a quick OOTD, usually work part time but cause I'm off college for summer I've been doing quite a bit of over time so I've been a busy bee.
This is what I wore today, got this dress in Top Shop last week and I love it so much. So easy to just throw on, got loads of compliments in work today also, felt terrible sending all the customers down to Top Shop:/ The material is so soft and is super comfy to wear. Could easily put on a pair of heeled chelsea boots and you'd be ready to hit the town. Again I'm wearing my H&M necklace which you's are probably sick of seeing, buuut I can't stop myself:D

Treat Me Thurdays

Thursday, Its basically the beginning of Le weekend. So preparations gotta start somewhere. Heading out with me bezzies tomorrow night and got to be look fresh so the getting ready process started tonight #beingagirlproblems. I was in Boots last week and picked up a few new products so thought I'd share them with y'all. Is it just me or is it impossible to go into that shop and buy nothing-_-

Heres a few things I picked up which are new essentials for my getting ready/every day prep:)

First is a good body exfoliator, which is necessary for achieving a non streaky/smooth tan. My current favorite is Soap and Glorys "The Big Scrub". The smell of there products is divine and I just wanna eat it! Though you REALLY shouldn't. Its nine euro for a good sized tub of it, and I use it probably once a week so it lasts a good four or five uses.

On the topic of exfoliators the best facial one in my opinion has to be the "St Ives Apricot Scrub". I use the invigorating one, the product gets raved about left right and center and it deserves every single bit. Some facial exfoliators I feel like they do nothing, and you don't get a good noticable scrub out of the beads. This is so not the case with this one, there quite thick beads but not to thick and you can feel them actually doing something. This scrub really does leave your skin glowing and its only about five euro in boots.

I've been trying out a few self tanners lately and recently picked up the "Garnier Ambre Soleil" spray as it was on offer. This product has its good and bad points but it does give a good color. My main peeve about it is it sprays on like spray tan, clear, so its kind of hard to judge what its really going to be like if your doing it yourself. It says no streaks on the bottle but I got quite a few, this could just be down to me being a rookie but I dunno:) I used Sally Hansen in Tan Glow over it to hide the few streaks and it looked good as new!
My tanning tag team;)

I was on the hunt for a new moisturiser in Boots the other day and picked up this little gem. It was on the bottom shelf and kind of hidden, the simple yet classic 30's style packaging was what caught my eye. It looks so old skool on my desk. Its from the Boots Traditional skin care range. I've never purchased anything from it before but I definitely will be back back to get a few of the other bits as I'm very impressed by it. Its a really nice rich cream and leaves your skin feeling great, I have sensitive skin so was a bit worried I'd break out as it was only four euro, I know price snob! but its been amazing so far.

Another skin care fave I recently picked up is the Simple Moisture Boost Hydro Cream. I've never heard about it before but whenever I go into Boots theres either none left or only a few. This was the last one there the day I went in so I grabbed it. I think this works well as a good base for make up, its very hydrating so foundation appears flawless and natural over. I mixed it with my Vitalumiere Aqua and it was a lovely change for day time, as my skin felt so fresh and got a good breather:) It contains Vitamins B&E which smooth, soften, and repair skin. It also contains zero coloring or perfume.

Oh Woweee Jeans

Again I had a crazy busy weekend so blogging was neglected slightly, I promise this will not be the case every weekend as it is starting to look like a re-occuring pattern:/ So todays post is a slightly boring one, just a quick OOTD. Heading to the flicks with friends to go see The Amazing Spiderman, bitta Andrew Garfield and Ms Stone mmm yes please.

Todays outfit is fairly simple, and casual. Had to mention my new "Ohhh woweee" jeans;) This is not a brand btw haha just what I refer to these uhmazing jeans as. Picked them up in River Island today, never normally go in there but was on the hunt for kind of high waisted blue skinnys and was like ah sure! Was pretty set on getting a pair of Top Shop Leigh jeans, but I actually much prefer these and they were half the price. There quite stretchy denim so there super comfy:)

Just looking at these pictures and they actually don't do them half justice. In real life there soo flattering. Bad photographer I guess haha ( sisters actually gonna kill me >:) ). I wanted to get a good side picture of the jeans as the do wonders to the deriere! but my face looked like a slapped arse in majority of the pictures, not a natural poser bbz. My legs look so tinchy in the second picture:( I'm 5'6/7 ish just in case your wondering.

Yellow blazer #1

I bought this amazing blazer in H&M last week, I mulled over it for awhile as 40 euro for H&M is a bit much. But it was the last 10 and the second last one in stock. So REALLY it had to be done. This is something I know I'll have in my wardrobe for quite some time and I'll get plenty of wear out of it.

This blazer is such a versatile piece and I planned on styling it around four different looks, but my sister got bored taking pictures and went out:( Really need to invest in a tripod.

For the first look I put together this one. Its quite trendy. I put the blazer with a plain black tank, my H&M aztec printed jeggings, and new shoes. There flatform-esque but have a bit more of a wedge. I'd wear this outfit out for drinks or if I was going for a meal. I kept accessories very simple, the yellow blazer is quite a statement color and along with the pants I didn't want to be too OTT. So I just threw on a simple silver studded bracelet, and my "Casio" ( saw it in Penneys for 2euro so it'll do until I get a real one haha ). I love the look of clashing metals.

Thinking of doing one of these kind of series of posts maybe once every two weeks, give you an idea of how to use a statement piece or an on trend item of clothing various ways. Let me know in the comments below what you think :)

Monday Muse

Sorry for the lack of well anything all weekend. First weekend in ages where I actually had LOADS to do.
On Friday I went out for a few "casuals" with ma gurls (read post below to see what this actually means).

Majority of Saturday morning was spent wishing the ground would swallow me whole. Few pandol later I was brand new:) Had to go to a family christening, me and my sister got a tad sidetracked by the pretty country views on the way down and were a tad late.
Then Saturday night I went to The Laughter Lounge in the City Center with the boyfriend and it was sooo good, I'd highly reccomend going. It was a good change to just going out clubbing and what not. The australian comidian Damien Clarke was headlining, he was just hilarious! Tried to take a few pictures but the lighting was really really bad and the same one waitress kept standing in front of me EVERY time I tried to take a picture. *cam whore*
Pretty blue sky

Lil country roads

Me and my little sister Erika:)

Sunday was a big bleh of a day. Had to go to work, cannot wait for summer sales to finally end. Swear to god, sales really bring out the whole animalistic crazy side in people (mainly women). Scary shit!
So after work I went and had a biiig lazy night with lotsa munchies. Watched "Friends with Benefits" and "What happens in Vegas" mega rom-com night. FWB rekindled my love for JT, he really does just have it all! Swear if I ever met him I'd go completely all out fan girl on his fine ass!

So I best be going, heigh ho heigh ho it's off to work I go!
Any suggestions for upcoming posts leave below, I'd love to hear what you's want to see:)
Thinking of doing a tag or two, not sure If I'll record them or just type them out though, the whole video thing is kinda daunting to me haha.

Tonight we are young

Quickie post, oooooh yeah;) Went out for what was meant to be "casual" drinkies with the girls, em casual not so much!  Currently laying here at 5:04 typing this whilst shwiggin' OJ from a carton and eating reheated chinese food. I needs me some h20 but the two stairs that I must face are far more inferior then I:/

So this is what I wore out. The white lace dress is from VILLA, which is a shop I'd never usually venture into, but I will be more often. The dress is completely see through so I wore a black basic cotton dress from H&M underneath it. The necklace is also from H&M and if you see one, GRAB IT. Its such an amazing statement necklace, definitely a favorite of mine. Jeepers I'm gonna sound like a parrot buuuut my leather vest is....yes you guessed it....H&M. I've wanted one of these for so long, but they've always been way overpriced, this was 29euro which I thought was so good! On my feetsies I have my Top Shop Allegras. A serious wardrobe staple, and I'm very muchly lusting for a pair of these in burgundy. If anyone knows where I could get my hands on some, let me know;)

Well thats all for now folks, I'm off to finish my OJ and attempt to scrub my make up off! Wish me luck:P

Laters,
Stacey

PS included a picture of me and 3 of my besties at the end from our girlos night out, they're 3 of the sexiest gals out there! I myself am pulling one of the most attractive faces evs in this photo...as you can see:]

Penneys Haulage

So today I went shopping for a few bits and bobs. Mainly accessories as I just seem to lose EVERYTHING. Unfortunately the accessory department in Penneys was lacking. I was wandering around with only afew bits feeling rather disappointed and was about to go and pay when I noticed a section I hadn't examined yet:)Low and behold! I think Penneys was hiding all the good stuff in this little corner. I kind of wish I didn't venture over haha, I ended up picking up 2 hi-low skirts, and three tops all in this little section. Here's some pictures of what I picked up:)

This cute lil top was only 13euro which I thought was really good, I want to wear it with red lipstick and pretend I'm a grown up Minnie Mouse haha. You could also get away with wearing it as a dress if you wore a black slip and tights with it.
This looks cute belted or loose, and I love the dipped hem at the back.

So I picked up this bralet/top with Cheryls "Call my name" video in mind(what I'd do to have her body). Tropicanna is a key look every summer. I'll probably pair this with black then clashing colored accessories, but I'd say this would look very funky and fashion forward with printed high waisted short also. I'm just not that daring:P
These pictures do not do this top half justice! I actually think this top is my favorite of what I bought today, It was like nine euro or something crazy like that and it reminds me of something I'd buy in Urban Outfitters for twice this price. The lace detailing along the shoulders and back adds that something extra to it. Its just an easy top to throw on with a pair of high waisted skinnys or denim shorts and will look chic no matter what. Such a find!

K so I went a bit hi/low mad but these skirts were.....wait for it.....11euro each! Absolute madness. First I saw the pale pink color and was like right MINE, and then I came across it in black too. They also had it in a muted grey which I had to stop myself from buying by telling myself the color will drain me! These are staples and can easily be switched for day wear to night. On a hot day with a plain black tank and statement necklace, sorted. I'll be wearing these into winter too with chunky knits half tucked in and military style booties.

These are all the accessories I ended up picking up, serious fail on my behalf. My jewellery drawer needs a revamping ASAP. First I picked up 2 simple belts, the black one was only 1.50 and the colored one was 3euro. I picked up this neon lime bangle as it was only 3euro, neon is very big at the mo but I myself prefer neon accessories rather then clothing. Subtle pops of neon:) I also picked up this 5 pack of pearls/bracelets as its simple arm candy thats easy to throw on but look cute. How adorable are these heart studs! I picked up these for my second ear piercing as I rarely have an earring in it and thought these would be perfect as there small. Last thing I got was this black tasseled shoulder bag.

Well I hoped you enjoyed this post, if you've any questions or suggestions post below:)
